From your very first step after landing in Cairo airport, there will be a wide range of comfortable and affordable means of transport under your beck and call. The Fastest and most abundant is the Taxi. It is preferred to avoid white taxis as they Rarely abide by a meter reading and might ask for an exaggerated fare. However, the GPs and meter utilizing Uber transportation service is a preferred alternative. Another popular and highly accessible option for moving around is the Subway/Metro. We had a great day visiting the pyramids and the Egyptian museum with our guide Mohamed Hassan The drive from Hurghada was quite long, but we could sleep little bit on the way. Our driver Hamoo was really courteous, and his driving skills in the Cairo rush hour were impressive. Compared to a bus tour we probably saved a few hours of driving there and back, so we felt it was worth paying little but more just for that, as we were travelling with our 4yo daughter.
The tour itself was entertaining and educational, it was great to have a private guide to explain the significance of all the sights to us. Mohamed also had plenty of great tips how to take the perfect pictures of the pyramids and how to avoid all the hustlers and scammers you meet around them. Overall a great value for the price, and we enjoyed it a lot even though it was a long day!
We have an excellent tour guide- Mohamed Hassan, we were enjoyed he’s friendly and knowledgeable about Egypt history that directed us had unforgettable experience with our trips.
